Well I'm back from Austria and once again I've given you a summary shot of the holiday. We may not have had as much snow as last year but we were certainly blessed with fantastic weather. The food was brilliant although I now feel like I've spent a week in a salt mine. My favourite part of the holiday was learning to snowboard, which is rather ironic as most of the time was spent on my knees or bum. However, after a few days I've become a little bit proficient and I'm now genuinely looking forward to going to a winter paradise again so I can get back on a board.
My least favourite part of the holiday was the journey back. We were due to fly out from Salzburg to Manchester on the 29th but sadly as we arrived at the airport and checked in, a heavy fog descended on the area and the flight didn't even land in Salzburg.
So, after a few hours of deliberation, Thompson Fly (who should be commended for this) put all the passengers up in a very nice hotel in Salzburg and flew us out the next day. A good bargain I suppose, given that we only paid 49p (+airport taxes) for the return flight. All in all a great time was had and I'm thinking of going on a mountain biking holiday in the area with a few friends during the summer (after my GCSEs yay!)
